WPU English Department Internship Opportunities

Dear English Majors,

The English department at William Paterson strongly believes in the importance of an internship before graduation. Studies have shown that students who have at least one internship during their undergraduate years increase their job prospects considerably. In addition, interns learn a good deal about possible industries of interest and can make more informed decisions regarding their professional aspirations.

Students may pursue an internship on their own, but those who would like college credit for an internship should review the course outline for the internship course (ENG4900) here: https://www.wpunj.edu/cohss/departments/english/internship.html
All students should reach out to the Student Career Development Center (https://www.wpunj.edu/career-center/) for a virtual appointment to review or create a resume and to enroll in Handshake in order to receive updated internship opportunities. Attached, you will find a list of current paid, unpaid, remote, and in-person opportunities for students with strong writing, reading, and critical and analytical skills.

Other opportunities for editorial work can be found at bookjobs.com and ed2010.com.
