Under the direction of the Director of the Career Development Center and under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for working with students, alumni, other professional staff, faculty and employers to ensure that students are adequately prepared and able to build on developmental goals toward their desired careers. The Assistant Director will meet with students individually and in group settings to facilitate their career decision making process and help develop short and long-term career goals. S/he will develop, implement and coordinate career related workshops, employment placement efforts and serve as a resource to the University community for career related information and services.
As an integral part of the William Paterson community, the Career Development Center collaborates with University and community constituents to empower students to define and achieve their personal, academic, and career development goals. The Center offers career related resources for students, alumni and employers through best-practice career counseling, coaching, job, internship and graduate school preparation, as well as employment and mentoring connections.
