Computer Renewal Program Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Computer Renewal Program (CRP) Manager, the CRP Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating computing equipment deployments across the University campus in accordance with the guidelines of the Computer Renewal Program. The CRP Coordinator works within Information Technology and supports users on campus.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: providing technical support to the university community; repairing computer hardware; maintaining the Information Technology asset database as well as creating and maintaining technical documentation. S/he communicates effectively with clients; supervises and coordinates the work of student assistants during equipment deployments.
A Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of related experience working with an Information Technology group or help desk in a higher education or business environment are required. Note: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.
The selected candidate must possess experience backing up, imaging and preparing computers as well as physically repairing computer hardware. Strong organizational and customer service skills; the ability to work independently and manage time and resources effectively; a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds are required. Experience with large-scale computer deployments is preferred.
