Deniz Yucel

Professor • Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice

Dr. Yucel earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She is a Professor of Sociology at William Paterson University. Her teaching interests are sociology of family, sociology of adulthood, research methods, data analysis, and senior seminar. Her main research interests are sociology of family, work-family, child and youth development, and quantitative methodology. She is currently exploring flexible work arrangements in the workplace and their effects on health, family and job-related outcomes.

Studying languages, poetry, watching movies, reading about cinema and film critics.
