Paul VonDohlen Professor • Department of Mathematical Sciences View CV I have been a faculty member at WPUNJ since 2006. I am currently the Chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. My doctoral research was on dynamical systems and numerical simulations. More recently, I have transitioned that numerical simulation work into the field of Mathematics and Sports. As a big sports fan, it has been so exciting to incorporate that area of interest into my research. It has also lead me to the growing area of Data Science which has been an even more recent passion of mine. One of the things I most enjoy about being a professor is teaching. Whether it is instructing in the classroom (in-person or virtual) or having conversations outside the classroom, I greatly enjoy working with students. And I cannot tell you how much I have learned from teaching!I am active in the New Jersey section of the MAA (Mathematical Association of America), and I am currently the New Jersey representative to the MAA Congress.
