Faculty and Staff

Tricia Snyder

Professor • Economics, Finance and Global Business

Since I started at WPU in 2000, I have taught over 12 courses in my specialty fields of Macro/Monetary Economics, Public Finance, and Finance. I have had the pleasure of leading several student team competitions in New York City and study abroad programs in Cambridge, China and Portugal. I have also worked with students to help them publish research projects.

My research examines how interest rates, taxes and inflation impact housing and business decisions and has generated 24 published journal articles, 2 book chapters, 19 proceedings, 35 paper presentations and 10 scholarly awards. My research has been shared with local real estate companies and been quoted in the Wall Street Journal.

My recent research in sports economics helped WPU win a $20,000 grant from the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour and encouraged me to develop a Sports Economics Course.
