Kiho Lim

Professor • Department of Computer Science

Dr. Kiho Lim is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at William Paterson University of New Jersey, where he leads the WPU Cybersecurity Lab. He previously served as a faculty member at the University of South Dakota and earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky. His research interests include cybersecurity, network security, authentication, zero-trust security, connected and autonomous vehicle security, mobile and wireless networks, biometric security, and applied AI/ML for security.

Dr. Lim teaches courses in cybersecurity, networking, cryptography, ethical hacking, penetration testing, cyber defense, and digital forensics. He is a Cisco Certified Instructor for CCNA and also holds ACUE Certification in Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Learning Environment. Beyond the classroom, he has contributed extensively to the development of hands-on lab infrastructure, cybersecurity curriculum, and student research mentoring. He has received multiple research grants, including external awards from NRF and IITP. He has also contributed to the broader academic community as a guest editor for journals such as FGCS, Sensors, DCN, and ICT Express, as well as through conference leadership and service roles including program chair, track chair, session chair, and TPC member.
