I earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Bergen Community College, Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing at Dominican College, School Nurse/Health Educator Certificate from Caldwell College, a Master's degree in Nursing Education from Walden University, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from William Paterson University. I am certified as a hospice and palliative nurse through the Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses Association (HPNA). As an adjunct faculty, I have the pleasure of assisting nursing students in their academic achievements.
I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society for Nursing, am a member of Region 1 of the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA), and active member of the American Nurses Association. I have served as NJSNA Region 1 VP for Education, Region 1 President-elect, President, and Past President, NJSNA Vice President. and was elected to President-elect in 2019. I am currently serving as President of NJSNA. I serve on various committees, including the Health Nurse Healthy New Jersey, and ex-officio to all NJSNA committees. I am a member of the Philippine Nurses Association of New Jersey, Hospice and Palliative Nursing Association, New Jersey Consortium of Nurse Educators, National Institute for Nursing Research, and proudly support many nursing associations. I recently wrote an article, “When New Nurses Talk, Nursing Organizations Listen,” that was published in the January issue of Nursing 2020. My DNP final project is titled, "Palliative Care Self-Competence: An Examination of Registered Nurses in the Acute Care Hospital During the COVID-19 Pandemic."
I am proud to advocate for patients, communities, nursing students and fellow nurses. In my free time, I enjoy running, working out at the gym, and reading.
