Kathleen Korgen

Professor • Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice

Kathleen Odell Korgen received her Ph.D. from Boston College and her B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross. A public sociologist, Professor Korgen conducts evaluations of non-profit organizations with Korgen Associates and sociology program reviews as a member of the American Sociological Association’s Department Resource Group. She is the author or editor of many scholarly works and textbooks, including the Sociology in Action series (with Maxine Atkinson) and Our Social WorldL Introduction to Sociology (with Jeanne Ballantine and Keith Roberts). Professor Korgen has received William Paterson University’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship/Creative Expression and the university’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
