Ming Jian Professor • Department of Language, Lit, Culture, and Writing Dr. Ming Jian has broad research interests. He has authored publications in Chinese, German, and English on German Aesthetics, German expressionistic adoption of Chinese poetry, on contemporary Chinese novelist, playwright, and critic Gao Xingjian, and on Chinese language pedagogy. More recently, his research has focused on Daoist and Zen Buddhist influence on East Asian cultures.
