Cheryl Hollema Professor • School of Nursing Dr. Hollema is an advocate in promoting graduate nursing education. She has over 20 years of nursing experience in education and primary care practice, predominantly in pediatrics and obstetrics. Dr. Hollema is an Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at William Paterson University. She is currently the Director of the Graduate Nursing Program, managing the WP Online Graduate Nursing Program, On-Campus Graduate Nursing Program, and the Post MSN-DNP and Post BSN-MSN-DNP FNP and AGNP Programs. She received her BSN from William Paterson University, earning both Post Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner and MSN from Pace University, and a DNP from Samford University in Nursing Practice. Dr. Hollema is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and actively practices as a FNP in a large pediatric primary care practice in New Jersey one day per week. She has published in areas of Attitudes and Practices of Influenza Immunizations in Obstetrics, Clinical Simulation as it Relates to Faculty Development, the Evaluation of Post-Masters DNP Programs, and the Sustainability of the DNP Project. She currently is working in collaboration on a grant from Academic Partnerships to research Factors that Promote Persistence and Retention in an Online Program.
