Dr. Michele Grodner is a Professor in the Department of Public Health. She holds several degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University including MS in Community Nutrition; MEd and EdD in Family and Community Studies. Dr. Grodner has spent her career specializing in nutrition and health with an emphasis on nutrition education for nurses. Early on she explored disordered eating issues, serving on the board of a national eating disorder association, researching, and reviewing educational publications, and organizing campus event for students and staff. In recent years her focus has shifted to nutritional and medical nutrition therapy for nursing students. Since 1996, as lead author of Nutritional Foundations and Clinical Applications: A Nursing Approach, now approaching its 8th edition. Grodner continually explores the relationship of nutritional healing and wellness through the lens of the nursing profession.
