This program of research was initiated with funding from the NCAA and the DoD. Applied neuropsychology is another area and includes performance validity assessment (i.e., determining the degree of effort put forth during neuropsychological evaluations), knowledge of traumatic brain injury among various groups (e.g., nurses, educators), and collaborative approaches between neuropsychologists and school personnel. Topics related to learning disabilities and ADHD is a new area currently in the planning stage. Dr. Ernst maintains an independent practice in clinical neuropsychology and is a team neuropsychologist for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.
