I'm an individual with strong family values, an athlete, and someone who has a few degrees and letters after her name. As a person who likes challenges, I've often followed a regimen of set a goal and work hard to accomplish it. With that in mind, a few notable accomplishments include: attorney, masters degree in tax law, CPA, all-American college basketball player, professional cheerleader and recipient of a number of awards and honors, including Faculty Recognition Award for Exemplary Service.
I entered academics with several years of public and private accounting, taxation and legal experience. In the classroom, my passion, energy and enthusiasm for teaching is apparent to anyone that sees me. I lecture by sharing real world experiences and injecting humor into discussions. I believe this translates into success stories as students assist the community by becoming volunteer income tax preparers, pass the CPA exam, get into graduate school, receive employment offers and are scholarship recipients.
