Born in Cuba. Emigrated to Miami, U. S. in 1960. Moved to New York City in 1966. Studied at Miami Dade College, University of Miami, City College of New York, Graduate Center, CUNY. Lived in New Jersey 1986-2020. Currently living in Maryland.
