Lama Chaddad Professor • Department of Public Health Dr. Lama Chaddad, a pediatrician graduated from Moscow University in 1996 and earned her master’s degree in public health, Quantitative Methods, Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Rutgers University, School of Public Health in 2004. Dr. Chaddad has been working as a Public Health Epidemiologist since 2007 and teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses related to Public Health and research since 2008. She is interested in research, data analysis, and analytical studies of health-related issues, especially in infectious communicable diseases. She has worked in multiple countries such as Russia, Syria, and United Arab Emirates, which allowed her to have a wide exposure to prevention of tropical emerging and re-emerging diseases.In March 2020, Dr. Chaddad joined the public health team at the Sussex County Division of Health as a Director of Health and a Public Health Epidemiologist. She led the team throughout the pandemic as a valuable resource of information in COVID-19 protocol, coordinated testing sites, and set up vaccination sites.Dr. Chaddad has been teaching at William Paterson University, School of Nursing and Department of Public Health since 2014.
