Giuliana Andreopoulos

Giuliana Campanelli Andreopoulos is Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics, Finance and Global Business, William Paterson University. She graduated (Economic Major) Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bologna and received an M.Phil. as well as a Ph.D. in Economics from Cambridge University (U.K.) Previously she was Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna and the University of Catania. She taught several courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, including Economic Analysis, Money and Banking, Growth and Development, History of Economic Thought, and International Economics. Her main research interests are in the fields on History of Economic Thought, Economic Development, Macroeconomics, and International Trade. She has published numerous articles in referred journals, including The Manchester School of Economic and Social Study, History of Political Economy, and The Cambridge Journal of Economics. She presented the results of her papers at many national and international conferences and received several best paper awards. She has been very active in services at all the Universities she has been working for. At William Paterson University, she has served on numerous committees and searches at departmental, college, and university level. She has served as Director of Experiential Learning for the College of Business, member of the Faculty Senate Executive Council, and Vice Chair of the Senate. In 2010, she received the WPU Faculty Excellence Award for Service.
