July 10 - July 13: (4 Days): The Multiverse & Me / Marvel & DC (Grades 4 - 6)

“Relax! It's just a movie!” Is it, though? This program introduces students to various topics in social studies through the use of the Marvel and DC universes, including feature films, animation, television, and streaming shows. Students study such issues as identity and who they relate to, the allegory of the secret identity, family dynamics, and wealth and poverty. By end of class, students can workshop their own superhero concept based on themes covered.
