SUMMER ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE

Students in Grades 8-12

Do you have dreams of starting your own company or business one day? Join the summer entrepreneurship class for a unique experience where students work in a challenging and fast-paced business boot-camp with hands-on business projects. Working in a simulated entrepreneurial setting, you and your classmates will start and run your own businesses, develop product ideas and work on promotional plans to bring them to life. As a team or alone, you will also engage in a variety of business-related projects and develop your own business plan. During this exciting and 

challenging week, you will acquire leadership and team-building skills, develop new friendships and learn valuable lessons.

Throughout the course of the week, you'll have the opportunity to explore the following subject areas:

• Product development/Promotion
• Teamwork
• Business social responsibility
• Communication skills
• Risk management
• Research
• Public speaking skills
• Startup Financing

INVESTING FOR BEGINNERS

This program provides a fun and interactive opportunity for students to learn about the basics of investment from an industry expert. Through classroom participation and hands-on exercises, students will explore the basics of investment, including risk tolerance, time horizons, and the tried and true benefits to compounding interest. They will also experience the excitement and challenges of working in a real trading room environment, including participation in studying different asset classes, portfolio construction and simulated trading sessions.
