NEGOTIATING & CONFLICT RESOLUTION 

A practical, highly interactive program designed for high school students to teach them essential communication and negotiation skills to effectively compete and succeed in and out of the classroom. Students will learn communication techniques, negotiation tactics, and mediation tools that will help them build confidence, persuade and influence others, handle difficult people and situations, and foster their leadership potential. Through real-life simulations, students will engage in negotiations, mediations and creative problem-solving, developing an invaluable skill set that they can use and apply throughout their lives.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE: LEADERSHIP THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE

Who are the leaders of tomorrow? What are you doing to make a difference today? How are you lending a helping hand? This workshop empowers students to be positive role models and to strive to realize their potential without 

minimizing the value of teamwork.  Students will participate in a variety different leadership exercises and also partake in community service activities in and around the William Paterson campus. Students will learn more about themselves, others, and the world around them through fun and interactive activities, while building techniques to develop trust and collaboration.  In this 24/7 connected world, this program will help students understand different types of leadership styles, how to work with others, and how important their contributions are to the community and beyond. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program for leadership and service (10 hours of community Service).
