ROBOTICS and STRATEGY GAMES 7/22-7/26/19

ROBOTICS -

Do you think you have what it takes to build a robot? Can your robot win the Sumo Tournament? The Robotics Workshop will teach students how to design and assemble robots for a competition at the end of the session. Students will learn key engineering principals all while having fun. Students will also learn teamwork, responsibility, and confidence in their work. May the best robotics engineer win!  (materials included)

STRATEGY GAMES

Believe it or not, gaming existed before the world of video and computer gaming. Come learns the roots of strategy based gaming and enjoy an older form of entertainment as a refresher or for the first time. The class will explore classic games like Checkers, Chess, or Othello. We will also learn the basics to "newer" classics like Dungeons and Dragons or Magic the Gathering. Strategy games are great for improving critical thinking, concentration, memory and creativity.
