SCRATCH FOR KIDS and TRASH TO TECHNOLOGY 7/15-7/19/19

SCRATCH FOR KIDS

Elementary students (Grades 4-6) will have the chance to learn a programming language. Students will be introduced to fundamental programming concepts. Students will learn how to create animations, computer games, and interactive projects using Scratch, a graphical programming language developed at MIT.

TRASH TO TECHNOLOGY

Did you know technology has been used for hundreds of years? Currently, we associate technology with electronics. But the true definition of technology is anything that can make humans lives easier. In "Trash to Technology," you will be using the Engineer's Design Process, to solve a problem you believe will be make easier with a simple piece of technology. There is just one catch, you have to use recyclable materials. Let's see if you can create a piece of technology from someone's trash!
