Future Nurses Academy 7/8-7/12/19 and 7/22-7/26/19

• Anatomy and Physiology (Commuters) 7/8-7/12/19| 9:00am - 4:00pm|

Analyze microscopic characteristics and properties of the human body, examine cheek cells under a microscope, learn the principles of osmosis, and measure the performance of your heart with an EKG system.  The program will end at noon on Friday. (Lab fee and materials included)

• Future Nurses 7/22-7/26/19| 9:00am - 12:00pm|

This workshop provides a great opportunity to get an inside view of nursing and learn up-to-date procedures. Students will practice assessment skills and be challenged to use these skills on the WP state of the art nursing simulation mannequins. A variety of skills will be practiced and include cardiac, pulmonary, wound assessments and more. Currently practicing nurses as well as WP students and faculty will contribute to the high school students learning.
