The Medical Assistance Certification (CMAC) program at William Paterson University is a comprehensive, hands-on experience designed to prepare students for the CMAC certification exam through the American Medical Certification Association.

The cost of this program includes the Certification exams for Clinical Medial Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician through AMCA as well as the textbook. Students are required to have their own malpractice insurance and bring their own own scrubs to wear for class (Green/Blue).

A stethoscope and blood pressure cuff are included in this program. 

CPR and BLS certifications are strongly recommended.

• Electrocardiography Testing
• Collecting Specimens and Diagnostic Testing
• Medical Record Management
• Medical Law and Ethics
• Professionalism
• Interpersonal Relationships
• Pharmacology
