Democracy in America - How it Works & How Ordinary Young People Can Influence It

The focus of this camp will be on the tools and methods young people can use to influence all levels (state, county, municipal, school boards, and federal) of government. The camp will start by presenting the basic structure of each of these levels of government and how they interact. It will then move on to various direct and indirect lobbying techniques while providing students the opportunity to develop their skills in effectively executing these techniques as well as in deciding which ones to use when.
