Social Emotional Learning: Caring for Yourself & Your Students 10/22/19 (Non-PDS Schools Only)

Target Audience: All School Personnel  

Description: Social and emotional learning is a critical component for students to feel safe and connected to their school environment. This presentation will discuss how to create an environment that allows children to feel safe through school climate, character education, and optimizing students’ emotional growth. Strategies to promote a prosocial environment for students and teachers will be presented. Discussions regarding difficult students will be incorporated to provide strategies to support all students. Erin’s law will also be discussed with ideas on how to implement this curriculum in appropriate ways, while maintaining a safe environment. This presentation will be interactive and informative.
