Guiding Students to Research Local Topics for History Day - 10/10/19 (PDS Schools Only)

Target Audience:  History Day teachers and coaches, teachers interested in infusing local history into their lessons                                                                                            

Description: We can all agree that helping students connect with history enables the development of an appreciation for the past. Why not let History Day projects provide a platform for encouraging students to explore their own communities? This presentation will introduce teachers to local topics, provide new perspectives on national events and outline resources that can be utilized in the pursuit of local knowledge.
