Language Arts Skills for Success 10/29/16, 11/5/16, 11/19/16, 12/3/16

Embrace, enhance, and equip yourself with the necessary skills needed to be a successful language arts students and test-taker. If you find reading, writing, and test-taking to be a challenging task, this course will help you become a confident reader, writer, and test taker in five sessions!

In this course, the students will be focusing upon a multitude of reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammatical skills as well as test-taking preparation. Each skill-set that is reached will be done by introducing short stories by classic and current authors. Students will not only independently read, write, and analyze these literary texts, but they will also collaborate in groups to identify themes and writing styles of each piece of writing that they deconstruct. Additionally, students will practice the most current writing skills needed to be a successful essayist and masterful test-taker.  All areas of language arts skills and practice activities will be centered around the literary works that the students read during this four session class. 

This program is four (4) sessions that meets Saturday mornings from October through December.
