Leadership and Debating 7/27-7/31/15

The young students will learn LEADERSHIP and debating through interactive activities while learning the attributes of a successful leader and choosing the type they want to be.  The young leaders will learn the history of leadership and reflect on famous leaders;  practice working in teams with an assigned leader and delegate responsibilities through a project; team building through outdoor fun; research and debate on a variety of subjects; and building skills to present as a public speaker.  In the first session, the young leaders will write a BOLD Statement to positively present themselves to the instructor and class.  During the last session, they will revise their statements about the changes they experienced from the class. (B: Branding-Brave, O: Ongoing- Outstanding, L: Leading of Self- Leveraging, D: Determined- Dynamic Document)
