Todays Nurse - Meeting the Needs of a Diverse Community WPU Students 4/8/2014

This symposium is primarily being offered for school nurses. This course will help participants recognize how culture impacts the health needs of the community, understand the important role nurses play in preventive health, encourage nurses to further their education and develop the skills and confidence necessary to assess the school-aged child. This is also an opportunity to receive information about the School Nurse Certification Program at William Paterson University. The workshops sessions include: The Ever Changing Community, The School Nurse: Heart of the Community, Pediatric Assessment and Hands-on use of Equipment Otoscope, Stethoscope, etc.


All nurses will receive 4 Continuing Education Credits.
