Defines supply chain management; its evolution; cost impact; advanced principles; the role of finance, marketing, sales, regulatory, quality, engineering, and legal in supply chain management; terminology; drivers; organizational intelligence; alignment; environmental factors; and SCM failures/successes.
This certificate course will support students preparing for the CSCP and the CPSM Exams. The course consists of 120 hours with face-to-face meetings one Saturday a month, a 3-hour segment online live per week, and a 3-hour online segment pre-recorded by instructor. Students will be able to listen to the pre-recorded session at their own schedule during the week. This course will cover the following topics:
Materials Management, Supply Chain Management Principles, Setting Up the Supply Chain, Taking the Supply Chain Global, Technology in Supply Chain Management, Best Practices in Supply Chain Management, Case Studies in SCM, and the New Frontiers in Supply Chain Management.
The course includes one Saturday a month and two 3-hour online segments per week. One segment is live and the second segment is pre-recorded for students to attend at their own schedule.
