This course encompasses topics such as Interpersonal Relationships, Legal Aspects of Allied Health, The Language of Medicine, Clinical Office Procedures, Anatomy and Physiology, Aseptic Medical techniques and Laboratory Specimen Collections, First Aid & CPR, Pharmacology and Hematology, Electro cardiology (EKG) Medical Data Entry & Billing and Phlebotomy Techniques. It is a 600 hour program that includes a mandatory 160 hour externship. Students will apply the practical skills learned in a clinical setting prior to taking the American Registry of Medical Assistants examination.
