It is All About Connections! Using Real World Math to Teach Algebraic Concepts 10/26/21 (Non-PDS)

Audience: Teachers of Mathematics- Grades 6-9 and Special Education                               

Description: Students succeed in mathematics when they connect real-world events to concrete, pictorial, and abstract representations that illustrate algebraic relationships.  The use of models to make predictions helps students build reasoning skills, make predictions, and develop conceptual understandings. Participants will be provided with classroom-ready hands-on lessons and internet resources that can be used in both in-person and virtual settings.
