High School PARCC Boot Camp Preps Students for Part 2 End of Year Assessment Language Arts 4/18/15

This course will focus on preparing students for the various types of fiction and nonfiction readings suggested for each grade level by achievethecore.org.  A strong emphasis will be placed on providing text evidence for implicit and explicit answers, responding to two-part multiple choice questions, and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions.  General test-taking skills will also be reviewed to alleviate test-anxiety.  

 Based on need, students may also practice responding to narrative, research and literary analysis writing prompts, as well as reviewing the mechanics and overlay of TestNav 8, the PARCC online interface for the exams. Course materials and description subject to change if/when PARCC releases further information/practice material.
