Distinguishing Between Adolescent Conflicts and Bullying 10/22/20

We will discuss the differences between conflict and bullying.  We will review HIB laws: school’s obligations and parental rights. We will review signs that a child is being bullied and the signs that a child is the bully. We will also offer suggestions for ways to support children through a difficult time. We will also focus on ways to be proactive about bullying prevention and how to help children grow from challenging situations.

The second half of the workshop is going to be reflective.  We are going to discuss:

The lessons we learn

              Action/Reaction to difficult situations

              Our roles in these interactions

              Victim or feeling empowered – understanding that we have choices

              Having a plan

              How our decisions impact the outcome of a situation (cause and effect)

Come join us as we take a holistic look at distinguishing between adolescent conflicts and bullying.
