Cuentos y Sonrisas (Stories and Smiles) 2/15/22 (NON PDS Schools Only)

Audience: Preschool Teachers, Assistants and Coaches 

Description: Early childhood English language learners benefit most when they develop literacy skills in their first language before learning to read in a second one. Parents/guardians/caregivers can be helpful in their child’s literacy development regardless of their language. Spanish speaking parents/guardians/family members can read popular, high-quality books with their child in Spanish and assist in the literacy development.

Facilitators will read Esos desagradables detestables sucios completamente asquerosos, pero... invisibles Gérmenes (Those Mean Nasty Dirty Downright Disgusting but...Invisible Germs) with suggested follow up age-appropriate literacy skill building activities. *Workshop will be presented in Spanish
