CTE 0514 - Professional Responsibility 4 (13.5 hours, 0 credit)

CTE 0524 - The Learner and the Learning Environment 4 (18 hours, 0 credit)

CTE 0534 - The Cycle of Teaching for Planning and Assessment 4 (36 hours, 0 credit)

CTE 0544 - Community of Practice Seminar 4 (20 hours, 0 credit) 

Course Descriptions:

CTE 0514 - Professional Responsibility 4 (13.5 Hours):  In the Professional Responsibility 4 module, candidates, as part of CTE communities, will grow and develop, and reflect upon the growth of their professional dispositions, skills and responsibilities, and their ability to afford all P-12 learners' access to rigorous college and career ready standards.  Candidates will demonstrate an ability to help students achieve a smooth transition to post-secondary education and careers.

 

CTE 0524 - The Learner and the Learning Environment 4 (18 Hours): The Learning and the Learning Environment Module 4 helps CTE teachers further explore differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs. CTE teachers will learn how to work with industry experts and advisory council members to modify the curriculum in response to changing industry standards. This module will also teach CTE instructors to facilitate student self-directed learning and goal setting, develop student leadership, and foster teamwork in the classroom.

 

CTE 0534 - The Cycle of Teaching for Planning and Assessment 4 (36 Hours): The Cycle of Teaching for Planning and Assessment 4 builds on and deepens the Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher’s knowledge and application of effective lesson planning, with a focus on interdisciplinary connections and project-based learning.  CTE teachers will develop an understanding of how their discipline’s curriculum fits within the larger realm of the student learning experience. CTE teachers will develop skills and strategies to engage students in analyzing assessment results toward personal and professional growth. CTE teachers will develop skills to collaboratively reflect on and use evidence/data to evaluate the outcomes of teaching and learning to adapt planning and practice.

 

CTE 0544 - Community of Practice Seminar 4 (20 Hours): The Community of Practice/Observation and Reflection Module 4 is a seminar where candidates explore reflective practice as a means for professional growth.  Candidates help students achieve a smooth transition to post-secondary education and/or career.  Support for completion of EdTPA provided as needed by program.
