The Office of Student Diversity & Inclsuion is preparing a list of programs & events done in partnership with departments and Units across the university. Participation in these programs will offer students across all disciplines an arc of learning on topics centered around social justice, identity, and community building. Students gain new insight, learn how to engage with others across differences; and develop new strategies that support career and personal goals.
We hope that faculty partners would consider earmarking select programs to support their course goals and assignments with a co-curricular experience. Please see some dates for campus-wide theme celebrations events:
Black History Month celebration theme "Black Resistance: Pride, Power, Persistence" will highlight stories of strength, advocacy, and change through the focal lens of economics, culture, religion, and politics from Feb 1 - Feb 26. Opening keynote speaker, Wednesday, Feb 1, 2023 at 6 p.m. in the UC Ballroom.
Women's History Month celebration theme "Celebrating Women who tell our Stories" offers a wide range of programs, workshops, and performances from March 1 - March 16. Opening keynote speaker, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in the UC Ballroom.
