The Center for Teaching Excellence wishes you a strong finish to the semester and a restful summer ahead! Before you put on your cap and gown to celebrate our students’ accomplishments, we invite you to join the annual May Teaching & Learning Workshop Series co-sponsored by CTE & The Social Justice Project on May 15, 16, and 19.

Workshops are open to all faculty and staff!

Diversity & Justice Pedagogy Workshop will explore systems of inequality as applied to pedagogy and explore discipline-specific application of social justice concepts.

  • May 15 (Thursday) The in-person session, 10:00 am—4:00 pm, will be devoted to understanding and exploring systems of inequality as they apply to pedagogy and will provide participants with an introduction to decolonization.
  • May 16 (Friday): The Virtual session, 10:00 am—1:00 pm, will explore the discipline-specific application of social justice concepts in the classroom. Participants will be actively engaged in thinking about revising syllabi and classroom practices in the spirit of decolonization.
