FALL 2021 WPU DINING SERVICES UPDATE

WPU Dining Services is excited to kick off the Fall semester and is happy to welcome you back to campus.  We have been busy this summer refreshing menu items, preparing to introduce a new sandwich location, and developing new specials and promotions.  Please visit us for a freshly prepared cup of coffee, a quick snack or a delicious meal.  Join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy appetizing options at all our dining locations.  Here’s what you have to look forward to this semester…

Expanded Dining Options and Hours

Do you love deli sandwiches as much as we do?  Starting this fall, we will be introducing our new location, A Crust Above in the Paterson Food Court, open Mon-Fri 11am – 4pm. A great place to pick up a sandwich or a salad.  Einstein’s Bros Bagels will now be open until 7pm, Mon-Thu.  We are also resuming service at Café 1600 this semester, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm offering a selection of hot/cold grab and go breakfast and lunch offerings.  Ignite Grill and Bento Sushi will be open in the Paterson Food Court as well.  Please click here to see detailed service hours for all locations.

Mobile Ordering

Busy or working late? Use our GET Foods mobile ordering app, place your order ahead of time at any of our retail locations and pay right on the app.  Don’t miss out on awesome specials and promotional offerings when using Pioneer Express on the GET Foods app including our Welcome Back promotion which offers 10% off on all orders placed on the app when using Pioneer Express.  Employees can sign up for a Pioneer Express plan on WP Connect under Employee tab and clicking on Pioneer Express under HR & Payroll forms or contact Hospitality Services to take advantage of our introductory offer.

Catering

Catering is in full swing! If you are planning office functions or events in need of catering snacks, meals, or a simple coffee order, please reach out to our catering manager Jackie Montalvo to discuss how we may be able to assist.  Small or large, we have catering options suitable for any size event.

Dining at the University Commons Ballroom

Wayne Dining Hall renovation started this summer, and it is anticipated to be completed towards the end of the semester.  In the meantime, the ballroom will serve as the dining location this semester and is also available to all faculty and staff during operating hours.

Staying Safe with Dining

While we have many fun things happening in dining this Fall for you to enjoy, safety will continue to remain the top priority.  With your wellbeing in mind, the dining team is committed to following all cleaning and sanitization protocols and adhere to the ever-changing safety guidelines when it comes to social distancing and facial coverings.  All locations will be open to their normal capacity and will offer single seating tables to meet individual comfort preferences where possible.  Hand sanitization stations will also be available.
