Change to External Sharing Options for Office 365 SharePoint & OneDrive

As part of a review of best practices for Office 365 SharePoint and OneDrive, Information Technology will be making an adjustment to improve the security of the options for sharing folders and files with individuals outside of William Paterson.

'Anonymous' sharing  (the 'Anyone with the link' option) will no longer be an available choice when sharing folders or documents. All external sharing will require sharing with specific external email addresses for guest access to the shared folders or files. For internal sharing, you will continue to be able to share to 'anyone in the organization' (meaning anyone with a WPUNJ account) as well as to specific people.
