What Works Student Success Conference Call for themes

We are thrilled that we have a full slate of panels. We also want to reserve time for conversation.

Tell us what you want to talk about. Here is how it works. The general theme is student success: getting to know our students’ stories. You are invited to submit specific subthemes. This part of the day is exploratory. Attendee voices are featured. To ensure participant-centeredness, we need conversation topics determined by YOU—staff and faculty.

Suggestions for any subtheme on the general topic (student success: getting to know our students’ stories) are acceptable. Do you have an idea that you think WP should discuss? An idea about student well-being? Student learning? Student activities on campus or off campus? Suggest it as a discussion topic! Let’s talk about what we should talk about! Submit your idea here. Please submit by December 8.

Although not required to submit a topic idea, note whether you are willing to give a 3 minute brief introduction to the topic, perhaps with a few questions that would inform the discussion, and then facilitate the discussion in which all or most of the participants in your group share their ideas and comments. Content expertise is not necessary, but conversation facilitation, idea synthesizing, and savvy interpersonal skill talents are important. If you would like to be considered, please provide a few sentences describing your skills and experiences.
