Recycling Challenge Update – WE DID IT!

UC Operations would like to thank everyone who has donated plastic film as part of the recycling challenge. Because of you, we have recycled 580 pounds of plastic film!! A special shout out to the departments below that contributed high quantities of plastic:  

• Library Periodicals/Interlibrary Loan  
• Aramark Catering Services 
• Information Technology  
• Provost Office 
• Athletics    

Just because we reached our goal doesn’t mean we are going to stop recycling! Through the end of May, there will be two plastic film recycling bins available on campus – 1st Floor, Student Center and 1st Floor, College Hall.  If you don't want to bring it to campus, drop it off at a participating retailer that has a collection bin (ACME, Stop & Shop, Wegmans, and more).  Keep saving your plastic film to help keep it out of landfills and nature!
