“Passaic’s Indigenous People – The Lenni Lenape” The presentation will explore the history of indigenous peoples in Passaic County and the integral roles, impact, and influence they have had, both past and present. Most specifically the program will uncover and discuss the Lenni Lenape who inhabited what is now New Jersey and parts of New York, and their role in shaping Passaic County’s landscape.
Presented by William Paterson University's Hobart Manor Revitalization Committee in partnership with the County of Passaic. This program is part of the County of Passaic’s yearly lecture series prepared by the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs.
