Join us on Tuesday, April 9th for our annual Conocimiento Conference. This year's theme surrounds mental health, healing and community resiliency.

12:30pm - 2:00pm: Plenary Panel & Podtalk Discussion on Mental Health
An interactive experience with Gary Marks and Dr. Lilian Milanés, surrounding an episode of the popular podcast “Code Switch.” Student leaders will facilitate group discussions regarding the relevancy and importance of topics discussed.
2:00pm -3:15pm Healing Through Music Drum Circle
A captivating performance led by WP Percussion professor Dr. Payton MacDonald. Attendees are invited to
join in the drum circle and explore the healing benefits of music.
3:30pm-5:00pm Stories of Identity & Resilience; Student Art Showcase & Panel
An engaging panel where students discuss their Latinx community identities, histories and experiences. Followed by an art gallery showcasing students’ artwork relating to mental health, healing and community resilience.
