WP Celebrates Juneteenth

The Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion invites the university to reflect on the importance of Juneteenth.  While we contine to work towards acheiving equality and justice for all, we value the space to celebrate and recognize a day of freedom and empancipation.   Here are some equity-minded ways that we can show support: 

• Educate yourself and others on the history of Juneteenth.
• Attend a Juneteenth Celebration in your community.
• Support Black Owned Businesses
• Read books and articles written by Black authors.
• Enroll in courses that focus in Black and African American History.
