Clerk Typist - Full Time

Under supervision, types correspondence and reports and performs other related clerical work requiring the exercise of independent judgment and working knowledge of department rules, regulations, and policies; assists customers in person or by phone and maintains records and files; does other related work as required.



A keyboarding evaluation will be administered on the following dates/times, no appointment required:


Tuesday, January 15th            9:00-11:30 am and 2:00-4:00 pm

Wednesday, January 16th         9:00-11:30 am and 2:00-4:00 pm

Thursday, January 17th           9:00-11:30 am and 2:00-4:00 pm

Friday, January 18th                9:00-11:30 am and 2:00-4:00 pm

Tuesday, January 22nd            9:00-11:30 am and 2:00-4:00 pm

Wednesday, January 23rd       9:00-11:30 am and 2:00-4:00 pm

In order for your application to be considered evaluations will be administered in the Office of Human Resources, College Hall, Room 150 located at 358 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470 no later than Wednesday, January 23rd.

A passing score of 40wpm (after errors) is required. Applicants that have previously applied and passed the keyboarding evaluation are not required to re-test.
