William Paterson University, Wayne NJ, a Division III member institution of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, invites applications for a twelve-month fulltime position as Head Football Coach.  A member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference, William Paterson University sponsors 13 varsity intercollegiate sports. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Football Coach is responsible for administering all phases of the football program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing all aspects of a competitive football program, recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes, monitoring academic progress, individual skill development, supervision of assistant coaches, practice organization and game management, budget preparation, coordination of team fundraising activities, and compliance with all university, NCAA and NJAC rules. In addition, the Head Coach coordinates and is involved in community service activities and alumni events.

A Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of three years of full time coaching experience. Candidates must indicate if their prior coaching positions were full time or part time.

Master’s degree and collegiate coaching experience preferred. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, a recruiting plan and knowledge of NCAA Division III rules.
