The Associate Director (AD) for Leadership Annual Giving reports to the Director of Annual Giving and will participate in the development and implementation of the comprehensive annual fund solicitation program which includes personal visits, direct mail, phonathon, email, on-line and social media activity. The AD will be responsible for securing leadership gifts to the Annual Fund at the $500 level and above. Gifts will include new, upgraded and renewal gifts across all University constituencies with a concentration on alumni. The selected candidate identifies, solicits and manages personal prospect portfolio, tracking donor and prospect relationships and meets measurable targets related to the same. The AD is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the senior class giving program; participating in the planning and execution of cultivation events for donors and potential prospects and partnering with the Institutional Advancement team and University colleagues to promote and manage pipeline of prospects and donors. In addition, assist in the analysis of data on annual giving strategies and trends for the purpose of improving program results.
A resourceful, creative and self-motivated team player, the successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently, an upbeat attitude, diplomacy, discretion and a demonstrated talent to build and develop positive, cooperative relationships both internally and externally.
A bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of three (3) years of prior Annual Fund experience or related Development experience required. Ability and willingness for limited travel within the local area is required as well as attendance at select University events. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel applications; social media platforms; flexibility to work evenings and weekends and a valid driver’s license also required.
Salary commensurate with expertise and experience. This position offers a comprehensive benefit package, which includes tuition waiver for dependent children after one year of full time employment.
