Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Registrar serves as the chief administrator in the Registrar’s Office, and provides primary leadership, management, planning, and coordination of the unit. The Registrar creates and maintains collaborative working relationships with administrative personnel, deans, program directors, and faculty to support the University programs and policies. S/he acts as a central communication resource for academic and policy information related to student records management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reviewing and processing semester grades and grade changes; ensuring resolution of student registration issues; preparing and publishing the academic calendar for the University as well as coordinating all Veteran’s enrollment services and certifications. The selected candidate serves as data steward for student related data; assists with University’s A-133 audit; oversees the University’s Ellucian Banner registration modules and manages the development of the University undergraduate and graduate catalogs. The Registrar assists the Division of Academic Affairs with issues relating to student’s academic progress and certifies student completion of degree requirements.

A Master’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education are required. Experience in the area of registrar, registration services or advisement is strongly preferred. In addition, a comprehensive background in student information system (s), on-line catalog management, classroom scheduling, degree audit systems and degree compliance reporting is required. Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; a high degree of professionalism; the ability to work collaboratively with others and strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret data are required.
